Poet and translator Deborah Woodard discusses the poetry of Amelia Rosselli in translation, November 2, 2010.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY--Poet and translator Deborah Woodard will read a selection of poems from her recently published translation of Amelia Rosselli’s work The Dragonfly: A Selection of Poems 1953-1981 (Chelsea Editions  2009) and discuss her own translating strategies on Tuesday, November 2, from 5:30-7:00pm in the Rose Parlor of Main Building. 

Open to the general community, the program "Libel and Liberty: The Poetry of Amelia Rosselli in Translation," is sponsored by Italian, French and Francophone Studies, English, Jewish Studies, and Women’s Studies at Vassar College.
