"Bologna, the City of Knowledge"
Francesco Ceccarelli, Associate Professor of Architectural History, University of Bologna, Italy.

Bologna, one of the most vibrant university cities in Europe, is also the original Alma Mater Studiorum and thus a 1000-year old model of university life that developed over time thanks to favorable urban and cultural conditions. In this lecture, Francesco Ceccarelli will illustrate the evolution of this city of knowledge through a discussion of its university structures created from the Middle Ages until the present day.
