Kairos Italian Theater (KIT) presents: "Boccaccio and Bologna: Decameron VII, 7 and VIII, 9." Wednesday, October 28, 6:30 , The Aula

The KIT's performance is based on the reading of two novellas from Giovanni Boccaccio's Medieval masterpiece, The Decameron. Both novellas are related to the city of Bologna. VII, 7 is located in Bologna, where Ludovico unveils his love for the beautiful Madonna Beatrice, and together they trick her foolish husband. In VIII, 9 the foolish Bolognese doctor, Maestro Simone, ends up in a pool of manure while thinking of being in the arms of the wonderful Countess of Civillari ("Civillari" being a pun word for "manure").
