
Throughout the school year, the Italian Department organizes activities that allow students to use the language, interact with Italian culture, and extend their learning experience outside the classroom.

Italian Cinema Club
Every Spring semester, the Italian department offers a series of films to the entire Vassar community. Screenings take place in the Chicago Hall Video Room.
In past years we have organized such series as: "From the Organic Intellectual to the Exasperated Individualist," "The Neorealists," and "The South in Italian Cinema." Among the films screened were classics by Fellini, Pasolini and Visconti, as well as recent films by Giuseppe Tornatore and Nanni Moretti.
